The Leeds Branch was founded in 1981 with the inaugural meeting being held in June of that year. Despite the name, we welcome anyone who is involved in administration at a senior level and we are always looking to increase our membership. With the exception of August and December, meetings take place at Centenary House, North Street, Leeds, on the second Monday of the month from 7:00pm to 9:00 pm The business of the meeting is conducted from 7.30 to 8pm, followed by a Speaker. We have a good variety of Speakers on a diverse number of subjects, sometimes serious, sometimes light-hearted. Subjects on our Speaker List have included topics such as 'The Greek Islands', 'Wheatfields Hospice', 'The Brontes' and 'Underwear through the Ages'. Charity Fund raising is an important part of our activities and each year we try to organise at least two events to raise funds for a chosen charity. In addition to regular monthly meetings, outings are arranged throughout the year. Our Annual Convention of all Branches is hosted by a different Branch each year and is thoroughly enjoyed by all who attend.
